Today I am reminded of magic. Some people may call it God or karma and some people may call it coincidence. It's something that often goes undetected. Most people never stop long enough to look around them to see that it's there. Following them like a shadow in all that they do and providing them with courage and hope for a future. I see it in the stars that twinkle in the night. Some see it in a sunrise or sunset; in the colors that stretch out over the vast land and openness. It makes you feel a bit smaller in comparison to the universe. Some people see it in a field of flowers or during a thunderstorm. Some people hear it when they listen to music and the sounds or words stir their soul. I call it magic. It seems to be beyond our reasoning and so I can't think to put a word to it that makes much sense. It is a magical order in a world of chaos that seems to guide us. We can't ignore the magic in the world or we will lose our way and lose our hope. The magic is important to each of us and demands our attention. I am grateful for this beautiful phenomenon, because without it I think I would be lost. But, at any given time I know that something is working for me. There is something out there that wants me to be happy and to feel peace. I just have to look for it sometimes, but it's there. Sometimes the magic is in another person. Someone who for what ever reason makes you question your entire life. Some kind of magic that they carry around in them that mixes with the magic in you and it creates a symphony of feelings. That is a beautiful chemistry that is rare in the world, but when you feel it, you know. Sometimes that magic is brief, but it might carry with you for the rest of your life. We should feel blessed to have felt it at all. Today I feel overwhelmed with this magic... like it is flowing out from my body. I feel content and at peace. I am grateful for that.
My mind is cluttered and this is the place where I can dump my thoughts. There's that saying that "one man's junk is another man's treasure" - Well, I hope you find some treasure.
